In the summer of 2008, Queen of Peace created an Alumnae Association. The group's goal is to reach out to alumnae and enhance the image of Peace in the community. Two alumnae per class are sought to serve as association members.

 

At the first meeting in August, 2008, the discussion topics included how often the group should meet, how it should be organized, and how many -- and what kind of -- fun events should be planned.

Career Day volunteers are needed as Committee Members to help organize and plan Career Day here at Peace, set for April 14, 2010. Career Day speakers also are needed to share their career choices with young women of Peace, who are eager to listen. Career Day introduces Peace young women to professionals from a variety of positions and heightens students' awareness of career options to assist their personal decision-making. This is an excellent opportunity for alum and friends of Peace to share their insight and expertise to provide our students with an invaluable personal contact with career professionals.

Serve on Athletic Hall of Fame Committee, which selects the inductees to this newly created recognition program. Formed in 2008, the Athletic Hall of Fame honors those who have moved the athletics program forward. Alumnae, teams, coaches and athletic directors. The event, held in the fall, brings athletes and their teammates back to Peace to reconnect and have a great time together.

Help plan and organize this annual event -- or register to play. All proceeds benefit Peace programs.

 

 

Peace Robotics Club is fun, challenging and in need of adult volunteers interested in everything from public relations to mechanical engineering and technology. Work with students as they design and build a robot for one competition in the fall and a second one in the spring.

WiSE Women of Peace, a Women in Science and Engineering group of the Alumnae Association, supports the needs of the Queen of Peace students with the goal of increasing the number of graduates pursuing degrees and careers in science, engineering, technology and mathematics.
